“People can treat it as a breakup song,” said Alfie of The Marsh Family, “but to be honest the track emerged from real frustration with the world, and how younger generations like us are being let down. It’s not about individuals. So much has been wrong and so little has been done. And although a song isn’t going to do much in itself, I hope it can vent a bit of energy as it feels like that – it’s kind of therapeutic singing it and watching audiences responding.”
The Marsh Family, a multi-instrumentalist group of six from Kent, have a significant international online following passionate about their mix of folk-pop harmonies, uplifting messages, authentic imperfections, and sense of connection and heart. The family group consists of Dad (Ben, 49), Mum (Danielle, 48), and their children Alfie (19), Tom (18), Ella (16), and Tess (14)
