Billericay Town FC supremo Glenn Tamplin last night bounced back in true fashion as he scooped a Pride Of Essex nod at an awards ceremony in Chelmsford.
Taking to Twitter to exclaim his excitement he tweeted “Winners 🙏🏻🙏🏻 BTFC and myself have been recognised for our hard work and won the PRIDE OF ESSEX award for our DISABLED STAND , the work our club has done for Harry and other disabled children we are helping
So humbling for us all at Billericay and shows how unique we are 💙”
The countywide recognition comes after a roller coaster month which saw Tamplin being bamed the second most powerful man in Essex in the EssexPower100 list, leaving just Lord Sugar to stop him from the top spot.
Earlier this year it was reported how 7 year-old Harry Parker a football mad Cerebral Palsy sufferer from Hertfordshire had walked for the first time after a generous £45,000 donation from Tamplin.
The win will also come as a boost to Billericay Town who have enjoyed two wins away in their last two matches and this recognition for their community work shows that they are setting the pace both on and off the pitch.
