02 Nov GET INTU THE SPIRIT AT INTU LAKESIDE’S CHRISTMAS SWITCH ON
On Saturday 12 November, intu Lakeside will be launching a Christmas for customers to remember as they get into the festive spirit with a fun-filled switch on event.
The switch on event will begin at 4.15pm with a character parade from the centre’s popular toy shop, Hamleys, marching through the centre for everybody to join in. The parade will continue onto the stage in intu Lakeside’s new Christmas Village that can be found in car park 3 where popular Hamleys characters will encourage little ones to take part in fun and games.
At 5pm, popular pirates, Cook and Line from CBeebies will take to the stage to provide laugh out loud entertainment including fun songs and silly slapstick comedy.
After lots of singing, dancing and laughs, it’ll be time for the big moment…the light switch on with a very special guest (Hint, he has a big red coat and a white beard!). With plenty of ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhhs’ expected from the audience as they enjoy watching the centre light up with Christmas lights and fireworks, intu Lakeside’s Christmas switch on is guaranteed to get everybody into the festive spirit.
After the switch on, guests will be able to enjoy exploring intu Lakeside’s Christmas Village which will be full of German Market stalls and an ice rink which can be pre-booked for customers that would like to be amongst the first to enjoy the new addition. For customers wanting to visit Santa, his magical ginger bread grotto will be open from Monday 14 November.
