18 Nov FRANCESC FONT DEBUTS NEW STUNNING MUSIC VIDEO ‘MAGIC’
While spending months of his time putting lyrics down to paper and writing any thoughts that could potentially spark inspiration, Spanish singer and songwriter Francesc Font met producer Dani Gual. The pair found they held mutual interests in music and Francesc began to sharpen his own skills in production and composition
Maniac’, Francesc’s new single, uses a soundscape created by Dutch Producer YoungKio who has gained mass recognition as the hands behind the worldwide hit ‘Old Town Road’ by Lil Nas X. The dark instrumental happened to be the perfect fit for a set of melodies and lyrics that Francesc had been working on. Four months on from securing the beat with a thumb’s up from the producer, the song was complete and ready to be released.
A dark moment of introspection, the track sees Francesc put his narcissistic thoughts and feelings on display. Over a bopping trap instrumental, he describes his own obsessions over money, alcohol and women, which constantly lead him into bad situations. He states that the track is about “those negative thoughts that make you act in ways you normally wouldn’t which make you feel uncomfortable with yourself and just destroy you. And this, reflects to how the world and society functions nowadays. Its all getting crazy and crazy, so why not going maniac with ourselves?”
Maniac is now available on Spotify and all streaming platforms. Upload your Halloween playlist cuz ‘Maniac’ is about to hit hard

We had an interview with him …
Thanks for coming through FRANCESC. First things first, how would you describe your sound?
I really consider my music to be Pop, influenced by modern trap beats and instrumentals, based on this beat which repeats during all the song (with a bass and battery) and my voice melodies creating variation and making the song to gain attraction.
And of course you have a new project ‘MANIAC’ . Tell us about that and the process involved in creating it?
MANIAC came up when I ran across this beat on the internet. I felt the dark vibe the moment I listened to it and melodies started appearing on my head. I saw it was produced by YoungKio (producer of worldwide hit ‘Old Town Road’), so I decided to buy it. That was in a moment I was a bit off and lost, so the lyrics and the dark mood of the song came naturally.
I bought the track on late May, and in 3 days I had all the lyrics and melodies written. I recorded the song this August, when I took a flight to Los Angeles, to mix the song at Nightbird Studios with engineer Mike Gaydusek.
What are some of the themes and concepts you included on this project?
MANIAC melodies and lyrics are influenced by the dark side of every person, in this case me. It really relates to the fact that, the world is getting crazy, in every sense, so why not going crazy with ourselves… It’s the expression of the dark side of each. It really reflects an important dark and scary side of everyone, and nowadays we’re in a world where exaggeration and craziness are a fashion…
The song has since garnered quite a good reception on. What has the reception to ‘‘MANIAC’ been like on your end?
I’m very auto critic with my job and have a clear objective, that is reaching important heights and streams to my music. This would include my song to go viral and reach millions of streams. I always think on the most difficult and hope for the best. At the time there’s been a small reception (I’m an new artist…) so I just focus on what I want to achieve and how to do so.
Any particular bands or artists you took inspiration from?
I admire many different aspects from many different people, and these are what inspire and influence in my way of creating and thinking. There’re no specific artists and I look up to, but if I had to say those who have inspired the most would be Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber…
What are your hopes for the new single ‘MANIAC’?
I really want people to get to know and listen MANIAC and the song to become viral and reach millions of streams. I think that fans of both Pop and Trap will enjoy the song, that’s why I’m trying to get the song Viral on the United States, United Kingdom, Canada… I feel these are the places where my song could really take advantage.
What can you tell us about your plans for the rest of 2019?
I’m planning on releasing my second single, this month, and depending on how MANIAC does, maybe go and work on it on promotion.
What message do you have for your fans out there?
Just go on and fight for what you believe is good. I’m saying this at the same time I’m doing it, so it’s now important for me to do so, until I reach what I want.
