10 Jul Ford Teaches Kids in Essex to Design, Build & Race Their Own Electric Cars
Last week, Ford tought local kids from Essex to Design, Build & Race Their Own Electric Cars at a special event.
The event on Saturday the 6th of July was held at the Ford Dunton test track.
Groups of school children aged between 9-25 had the opportunity to design, build and race electric cars around the Dunton track.
The aim of this project, led by charity Greenpower, was to kick-start careers in STEM for young people through the excitement of motorsport by sparking an interest in engineering and STEM subjects in a fun, engaging way.
The younger kids – Formula Goblins made the most of their day engaging in racing.
