12 Dec Family of missing rugby player Levi Davis issue a new plea
THE family of a missing rugby player today issued a new plea for help in finding him.
Levi Davis has been missing in Spain for over a month and was last seen on 29 October.
His mum Julie previously told of her frustration at the “slow” progress of the investigation.
Now a private investigator who is helping the family in their search has issued a new appeal.
Speaking to GB News, Gavin Burrows, said: “I’ve only recently just come to this, but we have got some significant leads, which we’re following up right now and locally.
“There are a number of clues here. And one main appeal today is that when he left Ibiza in October, he must have spoken to somebody on the ferry during that time. It was a six, seven-hour, eight-hour journey.
“He must have spoken to somebody when he came to Barcelona or arranged to meet somebody in Barcelona. But that person’s never come forward
“He’s not used his bank cards. He’s not been in touch with anybody. For the family’s sake we need help. We’re just appealing to the media and to anybody who may have seen Levi in the last six weeks, or a possible sighting can they please contact us or the local police. We’ve got to hopefully bring a successful conclusion to it over the next few days, if not weeks, because of the pain the family is going through.
Julie said the family were “thankful” to him for volunteering his services.
“The fact that we’ve got him involved now will mean that there’ll be more eyes on deck, in hopefully finding Levi.”
Levi, a Worthing Raiders winger, travelled by boat from Ibiza, where he visited a friend, on 29 October. He was last seen on CCTV leaving the Old Irish Pub in the centre of Barcelona at about 22:00. The rugby union player has not been seen or heard from since. A £10,000 reward was last week announced for help in finding him.
