30 Jul Family Friendly Dining Guaranteed at Chelmsford’s Little Channels this Summer
Katie Squire, young and dynamic general manager of Channels in Little Waltham, is introducing a variety of family events this July and August. The challenge of keeping the whole family entertained, whilst remaining easy on the pocket is a problem facing every parent of school-age children over this long, hot summer.
A family-focused destination near Chelmsford, Essex, Channels comprises an award-winning restaurant, boutique hotel and golf course. The hotel has an established reputation a welcoming venue offering great food, entertainment and fantastic service.
Katie is helping families escape the stress of catering at home this summer, as kids can eat at the relaxed Little Channels Bistro for just £1 for the whole month of August. “We know how hard it can be for parents keeping their kids occupied during the long summer holidays” says Katie, “so we decided to allow them to eat for £1 during August, saving on money, sanity and washing up!”
“We are also laying on a host of exciting musical events throughout the summer, to complement soaking up the summer sunshine in the courtyard with a glass of something lovely” commented restaurant manager Zoe Strong. The ever-popular Jazzy Sundays combine a traditional three course Sunday lunch with the sound of smooth jazz from acts such as The Three Piece Sweets.
The alfresco dining area is also located in the generous courtyard, overlooking the grounds and the lake, affording a comfortable seating and eating experience for everyone. Whether the visit is a treat for the kids, maybe sitting with a bottle of prosecco and catching up with friends or perhaps walking the dogs in beautiful surroundings on a lazy Sunday afternoon, everyone is welcome at Channels.
