30 Sep F. Cooke announces residency at the Nags Head, Billericay
F. Cooke is delighted to announce its residency at The Nags Head, Billericay every Wednesday evening from 5th October.
From Wednesday 5th October and every Wednesday after, customers of The Nags Head will be able to enjoy Cookes traditional pie and mash in its cosy country pub located on Heath Road, just 10 minutes from Billericay High Street.
First established in 1862 by Robert Cooke, Cookes went on to have eel and pie houses all over East London with Hackney, Dalston and Hoxton just to name a few. Now 160 years later and operating under 5th generation Robert Cooke, they continue to serve the same authentic recipe that’s been passed down from generation to generation. From their Essex eel and pie house on Moulsham St, their traditional pie, mash and liquor is made fresh every day, using the finest produce. Made from scratch by hand, the mince beef pies are paired with their signature mash and famous parsley sauce called liquor.
The Nags Head is the exclusive supplier of Cookes pie and mash in Billericay and is the only country pub where guests can enjoy a double pie and mash plus a pint for under £12. There is nowhere else within Billericay where residents can have a taste of the East End and experience true authentic pie and mash that will be made fresh on the day.
Robert Cooke says: “We’re delighted to be collaborating with The Nags Head and bringing our delicious pie and mash to Billericay. It allows people to continue enjoying our pie and mash after hours once our shop in Chelmsford is closed, and what better way to do it than in a warm traditional pub like The Nags Head.”
Guests should call ahead and pre book to avoid disappointment.
