28 Nov Exhibitors offer advice and support at Basildon Business Expo 2018
More than 50 exhibitors showcased their work as Basildon Council teamed up with the Essex Chambers of Commerce to deliver the second annual Basildon Business Expo.
The free Expo, the largest business to business event in the borough, took place at the Holiday Inn, Basildon, on Thursday 22 November. It brought together like-minded businesses to offer a wealth of advice, information and support. There were opportunities to secure new trade, make new connections or build on existing relationships.
Councillor Andrew Schrader, Chairman of the Economic Development and Growth Committee, said: “The Expo was a fantastic platform for companies to network, share success stories and unite in celebrating all that is great about business the borough, from those starting out to those looking to expand and develop.
“We are committed to doing all we can to support business growth in the borough and promote it as place to invest, and this event is an example of partnership working at its best. I would like to thank the Essex Chambers of Commerce, all of the exhibitors and delegates who attended for making the Basildon Business Expo 2018 such a success.”
Following the exhibition a business reception took place, enabling businesses to engage with an influential panel on a range of key business issues affecting Basildon and the South Essex Economy. It featured a presentation on the Lower Thames Crossing by Development Director, David Manning.
