23 Aug Excellent results for Chelmsford Learning Partnership’s family of schools
The Chelmsford Learning Partnership is commemorating a summer of examination success, with students across the Essex family of schools celebrating the recent A Level and GCSE results, some for the very first time.
Roding Valley High School, The Beaulieu Park School, The Boswells School and William de Ferrers have been congratulating their Year 11 and 13 students for the dedication and passion shown throughout their learning journey, which have resulted in impressive results across the board.
Significant rise in A* – A grades at A Level
The trust has highlighted the significant rise in A* – A grades across the Sixth Forms, with a large proportions of BTEC Level 3 Distinction* and Distinction grades. This means that students have secured places at prestigious institutions, including: the University of Exeter, University College London, The University of Manchester, Loughborough University, The University of Edinburgh, University of St Andrews, University of Nottingham and the University of Cambridge.
Substantial increase in Grades 9 – 7 for GCSEs
Compared to 2023, students from across the family of schools have achieved a considerable increase in both the percentage of grades awarded 9 – 7 and 9 – 4. A further percentage spike in ‘strong pass’ and ‘pass’ was achieved in both English and Maths throughout all the schools within the Trust, depicting an increased performance in core subjects throughout the schools.
Paul Banks, Chief Executive Officer at the Chelmsford Learning Partnership, said: “We are delighted to celebrate the record-breaking achievements of our Year 11 and 13 students. This year’s results are particularly poignant for our Trust for a number of reasons. Firstly, our students have achieved grades that are comparable to pre-pandemic levels, which is truly remarkable and a display of their resilience and positive attitude. Secondly, Beaulieu Park School is celebrating its first set of GCSE results, marking an exciting milestone as Essex’s first “all-through” school continues to develop. Lastly, it is also the first set of GCSE results for William de Ferrers since joining our trust in April. We look forward to celebrating future successes of our growing family of schools.
“We must also thank the outstanding staff and teachers for the excellent education they deliver, as well as the incredible support from parents, families and careers, who have helped the students along their academic journey. We wish every student the very best for their future endeavours. We can’t wait to hear about all the wonderful things they will achieve as they go forward into the next stage of their life.”
