Estate action and improvement day held at Pitsea estate

18 Nov Estate action and improvement day held at Pitsea estate

An estate action and improvement day has been held in Rydene, Pitsea.

Officers from across Basildon Council’s street scene and enforcement teams carried out an estate walkabout on Friday 15 November where they spoke to residents and identified issues with the aim of improving the neighbourhood. Pride Teams trimmed back hedges and made general improvements to the street scene.

Chairman of the Neighbourhoods and Public Spaces Committee Councillor David Harrison said: “This action day is enabling us to work more closely with the community to make sure the estate is clean and tidy and support is available for all residents.

“This follows the success of our “We’re Cleaning Up” campaign and previous estate action days in Ghyllgrove and the Vange 3/4 estate. We are focusing on the way our communities’ look and feel.”
