25 Jan Essex’s best brains to battle it out at the Haslers Foundation annual quiz
Haslers are organising a cracker of a brain teasing event this February with its sixth annual Haslers Foundation Charity Quiz.
Due to be held at the Prince Regent Hotel in Manor Road, Chigwell on 26 February 2019, the event will raise money for the Haslers Foundation – the in-house charity of Loughton-based Haslers Chartered Accountants.
This latest event, which will include a dinner and a raffle, follows on from the Foundation’s successful quiz last year, which raised nearly £3,000, which helped local causes such as Streets2Homes, Frank Charles Give a Gift Appeal, ELHAP, Haven Hospices and the Dream Factory.
As well as being offered the chance to take part, several lucky local businesses will also be given the opportunity to sponsor each round of the quiz at a cost of £100 to show their support.
To date, Haslers’ charity has raised more than £160,000 for local community groups and causes and has high hopes of adding even more to its grand total at this upcoming event, which starts at 6.30pm.
Jon O’Shea, Chairman of Haslers Chartered Accountants and its Foundation, said: “Every year our charity quiz gets bigger and bigger, so we are hoping that this year we can raise a fantastic amount for local causes.
“Since we started the quiz in 2013 it has managed to raise around £23,000 for good causes, but as always these events rely on the support of the local community and businesses.
“With their encouragement we are certain that we can make 2019 the best year yet, so we hope plenty of them join us and test themselves at this upcoming quiz.”
