02 Sep Essex volunteers aim to raise £1million for children’s charity
Harold Wood volunteers are aiming to reach £1m for Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity in a fundraiser that has already seen them raise over 90% of their target!
Next week, on the 6th of September at 12pm at the charity’s Harold Wood shop, volunteers will be joined by families supported by Rainbow Trust, along with Cllr Linda Van den Hende, the Mayor of Havering, who will officially launch the One Million Campaign.
The Harold Wood volunteers have currently raised £950,000 for Rainbow Trust and hope to reach £1million by Christmas.
The fundraising group has been supporting Rainbow Trust since April 1993.
Twenty four years later the shop and friends group are still going strong and as well as running the shop they take part in fundraising efforts across Essex in aid of Rainbow Trust.
Rainbow Trust has nine care teams of Family Support Workers in England, including Essex, helping families at home, in hospital and in the community, however they can to make life a little easier.
