19 Aug Essex venue continue their commitment to showcasing musical talent at late summer event
Having successfully established a platform for the discovery of vocal talent in Essex, Channels will be delivering another sizzling programme of live music and entertainment guaranteed to turn up the heat this summer.
Following the sell-out success of the recent food and music festival – Summer Fest, Katie Squire and her team will stage a special Bank Holiday BBQ with live music onMonday 26th August.
Over the past 18 months, Channels, the hotel, restaurant and country estate on the edge of Little Waltham near Chelmsford, has staged various live music and entertainment events providing unsigned artists with an opportunity to showcase their talent. August bank holiday is no different when the talented swing and pop artistJake Oakshott takes to the stage.
Katie Squire, general manager and owner of the award-winning Channels Estate, says: “Emerging artists need to be seen live to be really appreciated. This allows them to develop a relationship with their audience. We have built a platform that enables this to happen.”
She continues: “Emerging artists need more help than ever before. Not only because of the huge number of closures of clubs and live music venues in the UK over recent years, but also because it’s so difficult for musicians to earn a consistent income. However, there are so many talented artists like Jake including many from Essex who deserve to be showcased.”
In the past, Channels has booked artists such as Lauren Taylor-Baker, Darren James, Robert Mcdonald, Squire & Smith, Emma Cummins, Jazzy Boys, Megan Rose and many more.
