Ahead of the release of Sam Callahan’s new single, ‘Something to Prove’ we caught up with the star to chat all about all things Covid19, what he’s been up to and what life is really like for a PopStar in Isolation!
Well, in answer to the question, ‘Do we all just have to stop what we’re doing’ during isolation/lockdown and the pandemic?
Sam Callahan talks about his newly evolved music plans and why he believes the answer is a resounding, No!
The star has both written and produced his brand new single ‘Something to Prove’ about the time when he first met his long term girlfriend (and Bikini Pro) Robyn Hatton.
Sam tells us that he has even managed to put together a fully fledged professionally edited music video using pre-pandemic footage from his Youtube Vlog channel, taken from traveling/holidays, his own live music concerts and some other great events and memories made by the couple on their adventures!
Thanks to modern technology the release in it’s entirety will also be fully equipped with not only a full production version of the track, but also a stripped back acoustic mix and not one but TWO fully fledged remixed versions produced by globally prestigious, well known DJs; inc international DJ and 2019 UK DJ of the year: ‘SebAdee’ and Australia’s own: ‘Mr Fonc Belago’.
However the ‘Something to Prove’, single release does not stop there! It seems to be the Pandemic Gift that keeps on giving!
The usual protocol for a high calibre music artist when releasing new material is to have a ‘Launch Party’ or ‘Single Release Concert’. Now obviously, right now, the current circumstances re Covid19, are such that public events and therefore concerts are a 110% No’No!
However Sam Callahan is hosting the worlds first pandemic proof ‘Single Release Concert and Party’ on May 1st at 8pm where the single will be released at midnight that night.
On the stream he will be performing through a Live Stream video from his own home, using full stage equipment and gigging gear!
He even tells us he’s ordered Balloons, stage lighting and a disco ball to add some real life concert magic to the event!
The single will be available for Pre-Order on Apple Music / iTunes from Friday April 24th along with the release of Sam Callahan’s brand new official ‘Something to Prove’ Merch!
Then the fresh new music video will face it’s premier screening online on Saturday 25th April, with a full release date for the song set as following Friday 1st May followed by the acoustic version on Saturday the 2nd and then the remixed versions the following week on May the 8th!
If there is one thing you have to do during lockdown, it’s to be a part of this little bit of positivity and magic amongst the darkness!
