14 Aug Essex rally champion Tejpar aiming for BRC points haul at the Ulster Rally
Reigning Prestone MSA British Ladies Rally Champion Nabila Tejpar will return to the series in Northern Ireland this weekend as the Peugeot 208 R2 pilot will contest the John Mulholland Motors Ulster Rally (17/18 August).
Despite tackling the Spain and Portugal based Peugeot Iberica Cup this season, the Maldon based driver had also vowed to contest selected rounds of the British Championship in her rapid Peugeot.
Having recently scored a disappointing non-finish at the last round of the series in Belgium, she will head across the Irish Sea to look for valuable points to make up for her Ypres Rally non-score.
The 25-year old has enjoyed a fruitful season in Europe with the PT Racing outfit and her lack of overseas experience has shown no sign of harming her performance in the single-make championship. An 11th place on the World Rally Championship qualifier in Portugal kick-started her season, going one better on the next round at Rallye de Ferrol to take 10th spot.
Co-driven by Richard Bliss, Tejpar will now switch her focus back to the British Championship and the Ulster Rally is one she is looking forward to.
The Ulster Rally consists of over 100 competitive miles spread across 11 stages on Friday and Saturday.
