19 Sep Essex producer Amar Adatia tells all after Dead Ringer film release
Award winning Essex actor and film producer Amar Adatia had a chat with us to discuss his project Dead Ringer.
1. Amar, one more film in the bag how does this feel?
Honestly I feel so grateful that my hardwork is finally being appreciated and I am so happy with this film being released this week. Dead Ringer is like no other low budget British Independent film and as a producer im a true perfectionist and right now im so proud of this film.
2. How did the reception at your Dead Ringer premiere feel?
As they say you only get better with experience and I guess it’s the same with every premiere I throw. It was amazing… everyone loved the movie and it got a great reception at the premiere. I feel blessed to do a speech infront of so many different creatives and people in the industry and I’m just hoping this journey continues and I can carry on doing what I love doing.
3. What’s next now?
Make more movies and keep chasing the dream. I am in production for my next film called The Seven which I am CO-producing with Dean Cain which is a coming of the age Horror hoping for a summer 2019 release.
4. You always favour locations around Essex for your films – why is this ?
Im an essex boy born and bred so as a producer we need to feel at home with what we shoot and shooting locally for me is the best thing. I can control where I shoot and how long for and as Dorothy says: “THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!”
No matter if I ever move from Essex or not I will always have my heart there and will always come back to my roots.
