Essex Police is giving members of the public the chance to nominate and decide the winner of their Public Hero award.
Chief Constable Stephen Kavanagh said: “Daily, I am proud to hear of examples of the bravery, values, great decision-making and sheer hard work which make Essex Police such a great force to be with.
“But I also know there are plenty more ‘unsung’ heroes among our officers, police staff, Specials and volunteers whose actions aren’t widely talked about but who have had a profound effect on the people and communities with whom they come into contact.
“We don’t want their amazing work to go unnoticed so, once again, we want to give you the opportunity to nominate them for our Public Hero award.”
