Last month we asked you to nominate Essex Police employees for a Public Hero Award.
We’re holding our annual awards ceremony in October and wanted to give members of the public the chance to decide on the winner of this award introduced for the first time this year.
We received many nominations which have been whittled down to a shortlist of 10 by a panel of judges and are now giving you the chance to decide on the winner by voting in our online poll below.
Amongst those shortlisted are police officers and members of police staff who you feel deserve recognition for dedication to the community they serve, bravery or going that extra mile to do something really special.

The poll will remain open until midday on Thursday, September 8, 2016 and the winner will be announced following our awards ceremony on October 11, 2016.
