27 Jun Essex & Herts Air Ambulance announces I Did It My Way fundraising challenge and free Motorcycle Show
Create unforgettable memories and seize the chance to win a thrilling flight for two in a 1960’s Navy helicopter with Essex & Herts Air Ambulance’s (EHAAT) I Did It My Way Motorcycle Challenge. Registration is now open, inviting riders to embark on their very own epic motorcycle journey throughout August to raise crucial funds. The highest fundraiser will win a flight in the ‘Wasp’ helicopter, and the first 1,000 registered ‘I Did It My Way’ riders (including pillions) will receive a limited-edition 2024 embroidered patch, perfect to display on jackets.
Motorcyclists can choose their own routes and journeys, individually or in groups, while fundraising for EHAAT via sponsorship. Participants are encouraged to explore their favourite roads, visit landmarks, or ride in memory of loved ones. To celebrate the supportive local motorcycle community, participants images and stories will be featured online throughout August and showcased at a motorcycle and family fun event on 8th September.

This fundraiser provides our loyal biker enthusiasts with the opportunity to support their local life-saving air ambulance service while enjoying the freedom of the open road. Every mile ridden and every pound raised will directly contribute to our life-saving mission, ensuring that we can continue to provide critical care to those in need.”
As the fundraising challenge concludes, riders and supporters are invited to join EHAAT for a special Motorcycle Show & Family Fun Day at North Weald airbase on Sunday 8th September 2024, from 11 am – 4:30 pm. This free event promises a day of entertainment and activities for all ages, including:
– Exciting Entertainment: Experience captivating performances by the Bold Dogs Stunt Team and other unmissable acts.
– VMOTO Electric Bike Raffle: Enter the raffle for a chance to win an electric motorbike worth £2,499!
– Free Prize Draw: A chance to win tickets to Brands Hatch Superbike Championship, Virgin Experience Day vouchers and tickets to the Excel Motorcycle Show.
– Live Bands: Enjoy performances by The Vicounts and Faux Fighters
– Police Dog Display: Witness the impressive skills of police dogs in action.
– Bike Dealerships: Browse a selection of bikes and admire the impressive range on display.
– An Assortment of Exhibitors: showcasing everything from biking essentials to unique finds.
– Family Fun: Engage in a variety of activities designed to entertain the whole family including arts and crafts, free face-painting, bungee trampolines, and kids’ rides.
– Delicious Eats: Indulge in tasty food and refreshing drinks on offer throughout the day
