15 Jan ESSEX ENTREPRENEUR CROWDFUNDS FOR DAIRY FREE SUBSCRIPTION BOX VENTURE
An Indegogo campaign has been launched by an entrepreneur looking to launch an exclusively dairy free subscription box for vegans and people who cannot have dairy for health reasons.
Kelly Jackson, from Essex, who cannot have dairy herself, is trying to get funding for the project so she can offer exclusive dairy free and vegan treat boxes that are sent out monthly, following the popularity of ‘beauty’ subscription boxes.
“I wanted to do something to help people like me, people who cannot have dairy but still enjoy the occasional treat. Whilst doing market research, I realised that a lot of current vegan or dairy free subscription boxes are very health orientated. Although I do not advocate not following a balanced diet, I still think everyone deserves a little Saturday night treat while they are watching Britains Got Talent. The first time I found dairy free chocolate buttons, I physically jumped up and down, and I want this project to succeed and take the hassle out of finding things you can and cannot eat by delivering a box full of ‘safe’ foods to people’s homes”.
The project, which is hoping to raise £3250 to get the business up and running, will launch in Spring 2017. As well as supporting the cause, anyone who helps to raise funds will get a subscription free as a reward. The highest investment, £250, will get you a monthly box for life.
