13 Jul Essex County Council save bus services
Local bus services have been saved from extinction after Essex County Council stepped in to fund replacement services.
Services in Tollesbury, Braintree and Harwich will now continue after commercial bus operators pulled out.
The numbers 91, 92 and 95 services around Tollesbury, Saturdays and evenings on the number 21 service in Braintree and the number 2 service in Harwich were all set to be removed by bus operators in the coming months.
Today (Monday) Essex County Council announced it would step in to support the continued running of these services.
