27 Nov Essex Chambers welcome Government’s Industrial Strategy
Commenting on the Government’s new Industrial Strategy David Burch, Director of Policy at Essex Chambers of Commerce, said:
“The proposals contained in the new Industrial Strategy are generally very welcome and show that the Government is determined to address the challenges facing the country as we both leave the European Union and seek to take advantage of the growing range of new technologies under development”
“We are pleased to see the importance that Government has placed on local communities and especially the role of local enterprise partnerships in working with businesses and the education sectors to help shape and develop new ideas, along with improving the skills of the UK workforce.”
“We are ready to work with partners to help deliver the Industrial Strategy at a local level in Essex but the most important thing is that these need to be deliverable over the long term for the benefit of businesses and the communities in which they operate”
