29 Mar Essex Chambers’ staff to tackle 5k Race for Life
On May 7th a team from Essex Chambers of Commerce are taking part in the 5k race for life at Garon Park, Southend on Sea in aid of Cancer Research.
Essex Chambers of Commerce Chief Executive, Denise Rossiter has welcomed the participation saying “I am delighted that Chamber staff will be taking part in this worthy race. We all know someone that’s been affected by this terrible illness and I would urge people to give their support either by donations or by turning up on the day and cheering on the runners from not just the Chambers but all those who given up their time to raise money in this way”
Cancer Research are working hard to find new ways to diagnose, prevent and treat cancer, but in order to this they need funding.
Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is a series of women-only events raising money for research into all 200 types of cancer.
Over the past 20 years, more than 8 million women have taken part in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life, raising over £547 million to fund the charity’s life-saving work. But it does not stop there.
