21 Feb Essex Chambers of Commerce appoints Christine Bhatt as Director of Policy
The Essex Chambers of Commerce (ECC) has today announced the appointment of Christine Bhatt as Director of Policy.
Christine has extensive experience of working with a range of domestic and international clientele within the space of agricultural, construction, material handling and industrial industry sectors, leveraging their requirements to implement and drive data exchanges, key to defining industry trends and business strategy.
Essex Chambers’ Chief Executive Denise Rossiter said “Following the retirement of David Burch, I’m pleased to welcome Christine as our new Director of Policy. She brings with her a wealth of experience from running her own business which will prove invaluable when promoting the needs of Chamber members to our local politicians and policy makers. We face a number of challenges in the coming months but I know Christine will be out there speaking up for the needs of Essex businesses and I wish her well in her new role with us”
Christine said: “I am excited to be joining the ECC and look forward to meeting and working with the members. I am passionate about business and the positive benefits that its success can bring to both members and the wider community in which we live and work with. I understand that working in an environment that is constantly changing can be both challenging and exciting. The way we embrace these changes will define our future, especially at such a critical time for British businesses. Although the Policy Area is a new field for me, my main focus at the Chambers will be to listen to the much-valued members as much as I can and then drive policy to ensure that their voices are heard at the highest level.”
