Essex Chambers of Commerce have just celebrated their most successful Annual County Lunch ever. Over 160 business people and other guests attended this years’ event held at Stock Brook Country Club near Billericay.
As attendees sat down to lunch pupils from Buttsbury Primary School in Billericay sang carols which were followed by a presentation from Ken O’Toole, the Chief Executive of London Stansted Airport, who sponsored the lunch, on the airport’s plans for the future.
Following lunch Jo Fairley who was one of the founders of Green and Black’s chocolate entertained guests with the story of how this iconic brand came to be a world leader and gave tips to those wanting to emulate her success.
Speaking about the event, Denise Rossiter, Chief Executive of Essex Chambers of Commerce said “I was delighted at not just how many people came to celebrate with us but also how upbeat the whole event was. There was a real buzz in the room and it gave everyone the opportunity to forget about everything else that happened in 2019 and look forward to 2020 with real positivity.”
