30 Nov Essex Chambers brief new Chairman of South East LEP
As part of their engagement with key bodies in the county, Essex Chambers of Commerce, hosted a dinner for Christian Brodie, the new Chairman of the South East Local Enterprise Partnership, to meet businesses from across Essex.
The purpose of the dinner was to enable Christian to learn more about the key issues affecting businesses and the future growth of the Essex economy. Those present were generally upbeat but concerned about the infrastructure, especially the road networks and broadband connectivity, and the need to get better engagement between the education and business sectors.
Speaking about the event, Denise Rossiter, Chief Executive of Essex Chambers of Commerce, said “We were delighted that Christian accepted our invitation to meet Chamber members from a variety of backgrounds who could give him first-hand knowledge of the issues they face in their business”
“We hope that the discussions will be of great help to him and his colleagues in shaping future policies for the development of the south east economy and the LEP’s strategic economic plan. We look forward to continuing to work with the LEP in the coming months”
