Essex catering specialists to share sustainability success with industry partners

08 Apr Essex catering specialists to share sustainability success with industry partners

A leading Ingatestone-based catering firm will share its sustainable measures to help business leaders embrace environmentally friendly catering solutions during a live webinar next week.

Colin Sayers, Seasoned Events Managing Partner, will talk about ways the independent specialist caterer has improved its green credentials during the free online event on Wednesday, 13th April at 4pm, which is being hosted by international hospitality recruitment specialists COREcruitment.

Seasoned is an independent specialist caterer, providing a friendly tailored service of irresistible food and elegant design at London’s most desirable venues.

The company’s impressive green credentials include a commitment to sourcing 85 per cent of its ingredients in less than a 100-mile radius. It also ensures its events are carbon neutral thanks to its partnership with the Woodland Trust. Seasoned calculates how much carbon dioxide is created by the number of people attending an event and then pays to plant trees in ancient woodland to offset the impact.

In addition, the company avoids using mineral water at its events and instead uses bottles made from recycled glass, which can once again be sent for recycling after use.

Colin Sayers, Seasoned’s Managing Partner, Events, said: “Knowing where to start to make sustainable changes can be a challenge for firms in our industry. By sticking to a simple framework, results can be achieved and I look forward to sharing Seasoned’s environmentally friendly journey with those looking to make the transition.

“Event catering is no longer just about the dishes served and the service on offer – clients rightly expect us to take the issue of environmental impact seriously.”

The following topics will be covered:

– Concerns of our Society and how behaviour is evolving

– Role brands can play in shaping the future and supporting positive change

– What role does sustainability play in building a strong brand?

– How to match the real sustainability needs of customers?

-What are the most efficient routes to sustainable success?

Colin added: “We are keen to share our knowledge of how to stage carbon neutral events as well as how we have gone about our own commitment to minimising the impact our business has on the environment.”
