Cala Homes has launched its Showhome of Support initiative at its Ingatestone Grove development as part of its Community Pledge.
The Essex development’s Showhome of Support has seen the major homebuilder work with small retailers and creators in Ingatestone and Essex to help accessorise its brand-new showhome – giving local independents a platform to showcase their products and designs to residents and potential homebuyers.
Independents taking part in the initiative, with items on display in the Foxglove showhome, include:
LAST JAR – Small-batch preserve maker known for bold, handmade jams and ginger jellies.
Hylands Estate Honey – Locally harvested honey from Chelmsford Beekeepers at the historic Hylands Estate.
Bakehouse –Chelmsford and Colchester based café and deli offering handmade jams, chutneys, marmalades and honey.
Mr Cavendish Coffee House – Independent artisan coffee shop in Chelmsford serving house-roasted blends.
Essex Spirits Co. – Chelmsford distillery crafting sustainable, locally sourced gins and liqueurs.
Fifibells Gifts – Chelmsford gift shop specialising in vegan-friendly hand and body care collections.
Abigail’s Lifestyle – Ingatestone boutique offering organic skincare, homeware and elegant gifts.
Cosima’s – Essex based maker of handmade, wipe-clean toiletry and cosmetic bags and can be found at Hylands Estate in Chelmsford, Mersea Island and various markets across Essex.
Ceramics by Alex – Chelmsford based designer creating delicate, handcrafted porcelain trinket dishes and ceramics.
The Blue Dandelion – Ingatestone florist offering fresh and dried flowers, plants and home accessories.
All local businesses within Ingatestone Grove’s Showhome of Support have been signposted throughout the showhome and featured on the housebuilder’s website with a bespoke landing page, as the developer looks to showcase local artisans and retailers and encourage supporting local.
