The Bar & Brasserie at Channels country estate in Chelmsford is celebrating with an exciting new seasonal menu and a calendar of jazz, live music and entertainment that’s guaranteed to turn up the heat this summer.
The popular restaurant, which is set in bucolic grounds in Little Waltham, is staging Sunday lunches with jazz, tribute act nights and live music evenings in an effort to establish Channels as one of the top venues in the area for good food, live music and entertainment.
The next event on the entertainment programme is ‘An Evening of Motown’ on Saturday 14th July which combines a 3 course taster menu with a performance of soul and Motown classics by talented artist Terry Bolton. Other names that have appeared at Channels recently include X Factor’s Sam Callahan, Telboy, Lauren Taylor Baker and Squire and Smith.
There is no shortage of tasty indulgent dishes guaranteed to satisfy those summer cravings including Sticky Lamb Belly, with IPA pickled Roscoff, crisp sweetbread, and fermented wild garlic; BBQ Chalk Streamed Trout with horseradish, apple, beer and bacon as well as House Smoked Ricotta Tortellini with cauliflower, spinach, basil, monks beard and hazelnut to choose from.
A divine selection of desserts is also available, including White Chocolate and Banana Cheesecake with gingerbread, banana brulee and passion fruit, and Lemon Drizzle with meringue, dill snow and honey pinenut.
