10 Jun East Anglia’s Favourite Film Dad Revealed
QUESTIONABLE parenting techniques aside, dad in disguise, Mrs Doubtfire, has come out top in a recent survey of our favourite film dads.
The 90s classic, starring Robin Williams, topped the list of the region’s favourite film father, with a quarter of those from the region (24%) choosing the dad turned child-minder, followed by antagonist and leader of the “dark side” Darth Vader from Star Wars (13%) and “Jim’s Dad” from American Pie (8%).
The research, which was conducted by DiscoverLSQ, who will be hosting a special screening of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone at Cineworld in Leicester Square, on Saturday 15th June in celebration of Father’s Day, found that those from the region clearly prefer a more controversial and outlandish father in a film, compared to a more loveable and endearing father figure such as Marlin the Clownfish from Finding Nemo (7%).
