15 May Donation to help local children with asthma
Children attending Basildon University Hospital with suspected asthma will get a more accurate diagnosis thanks to a respiratory machine donated by a local nightspot.
Unit 7, at Basildon’s Festival Leisure Park, applied for a grant from their parent company Deltic to pay for the Spirometer and FeNO machine.
The machine is designed to test lung function in children with breathing problems and will help give more accurate diagnosis and demonstrate improvements in health over time.
The machine has an animation on the monitor to help and encourage the child during the test; while the parent is reassured that the investigation is successful.
