21 Sep Do you care for someone in Saffron Walden?
Saffron Walden residents are invited to a week long free event to meet emergency services, get information from support organisations and help them understand how to stay safe, well and secure in their community.
SafeWellSecure takes place between 24 – 29 September, and sees emergency services and partner organisations working together across Saffron Walden to share resources and signpost residents to support services, particularly those that are more vulnerable and at risk.
As well as the Police, Fire and Ambulance services of Essex, groups that provide support and services to the community such as county, district and town councils, health, volunteers, commissioned service providers, local and national charitable organisations make up the 35+ partners involved.
A SafeWellSecure Care and Housing event, hosted at Uttlesford District Council Offices, takes place on 28 September and is aimed at people who work in the care environment, or care for someone at home. Visitors can learn about a range of topics including sensory loss, assistive technology, mental health, social isolation, adult social care, missing person protocols, fire safety and services.
