19 Sep @diane_hinds to hold ‘How To Promote Your Book’ event in #Colchester

This year Diane Hinds is on a mission!  A mission to help empower the aspiring, small or self published writer.  With this in mind, the flamboyant Entertainment PR will bring her campaign insight to members of Colchester Library & Community Hub on the 24th September 2016 at 2pm.
Entertainment PR expert Diane Hinds recognized that so many writers who followed the less traditional routes lacked media coverage, reviews, and improved sales.
How To Promote Your Book guides writers through the process of devising their personalised campaigns, with comprehensive information regarding research, targeting the audience, creating the key message, as well as ‘writing a press release and learning about distribution.  Writers will learn how to achieve these elements in an affordable way, delivering to the public sound public relations  through a well-thought-out campaign.

In a career that has encompassed international talent such as Aretha Franklin, opera singer Lesley Garrett CBE, Whitney Houston, The Four Tops, Jack Jones, Jermaine Jackson and many others, Diane Hinds has built her reputation on the promotion of quality and distinguished talent.  Her writer representation includes John Stanley and international and New York Times bestselling writer Anne Perry.

Having completed her Masters in 2014, Diane was invited to join the University of Westminster as a Visiting Lecturer, specifically teaching on their Campaigning & Persuasive Skills module, on its BA: Public Relations & Advertising course, rated as the UK’s no. 1 PR course according to the Guardian League table 2015 and 2016.

This year Diane completed her seventh visit in the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program course: Personal Essay (Writing and Getting Published) taught by Victoria Zackheim.

Diane has devised and produced a series of instructional writing films for her client Anne Perry.  The first, Put Your Heart On The Page: An Introduction To Writing is released and available on Amazon.  The second Plotting To Enrich Your Back Story was launched this Autumn.  The National Council of Libraries in the US said of the films : it’s useful in supporting high school and college creative writing curricula”.
