23 May Design Cadbury World’s next showstopping chocolate creation
Cadbury World is putting the power in the hands of its visitors this year, as for the first time ever guests can design their next showstopping chocolate creation and be in with the chance of winning the opportunity to visit the attraction for the day to add the finishing touches to their very own design.
In the past, Cadbury World chocolatiers have created all sorts of wacky and wonderful creations from chocolate, including a replica of the St. Edward’s Crown to celebrate the King’s Coronation, Birmingham’s iconic Bull and even the historic moon landing scene to mark its 50th anniversary.
However, this summer, things will be a little different, as the attraction is asking visitors to design the next creation themselves, and the theme is ‘favourite holiday memory’.
So, whether that’s getting proposed to in front of the Eiffel Tower, enjoying a hot air balloon ride over the Pennines, or seeing the Taj Mahal, Cadbury World would love to see chocolate creation ideas, so its talented chocolatiers can use their creativity to bring the memory to life within the sculpture.
To enter, guests will need to get their pens and pencils at the ready and delve into their imagination to design the next showstopper and submit an image of the finished design. Alternatively, visitors can send in a photo of their favourite holiday memory.
The public can submit their ideas via post or on the Cadbury World website, by June 19th, before the chocolatiers shortlist their top four suggestions and an overall winner is chosen on social media before the school holidays in July. The winner is set to be announced on July 3rd.
What’s more, this May half term, guests who visit the attraction can enjoy a number of magical moments with all their favourite Cadbury characters from Saturday 27th May – Sunday 4th June.
Watch in amazement as master magician Freddo takes to the stage, making things disappear and reappear throughout a wand-erful 15-minute show.
For an extra special treat, families can also dine with the iconic Cadbury characters by booking onto a Character Afternoon Tea experience. Prices start from £29.00 and visitors can join Freddo, Caramel Bunny and their friends for a selection of delicious sweet and savoury treats in a private area of the Cadbury World Café. The experience will be available every day during the school holidays.
And the fun doesn’t stop there, elsewhere in the attraction visitors can also catch the talented chocolatiers in action and gather inspiration for their entries while tucking into a delicious taster for themselves in the Chocolate Making zone, before heading into the Have A Go zone to practice their piping skills and doodling their names in chocolate.
Gerrard Baldwin, General Manager at Cadbury World, said: “We are super excited to be putting the power in our visitors’ hands for our summer creation this year. People always chat to us about how much they love our chocolatiers’ amazing creations, so we thought it was only fair they got to design one themselves!
“We’ve selected the theme ‘favourite holiday memory’ as these are special moments in our lives, and with this chocolate creation launching ahead of the school summer holidays we thought this was the ideal theme.
“Like the rest of the team at Cadbury World, our chocolatiers can’t wait to see what they’re going to be creating next.”
To enter the summer creation competition, simply post your entry to Cadbury World, 69 Linden Road, Bournville, Birmingham, B30 1JR or head to: www.cadburyworld.co.uk/design-our-next-chocolate-creation
The runners-up will receive a family ticket to Cadbury World and a goody bag, with the family of the winning chocolate creation idea, being invited to visit the attraction for free to put the final touches to their very own design along with an exclusive dining experience and a hamper full of choc-tastic Cadbury goodies (T&Cs apply).
