17 Oct Debra Chigwell boutique celebrate 40years of excellence
Debra Chigwell the most recognised and established independent ladies fashion
boutique in Essex are celebrating their 40th anniversary in the business.
Debra Seller’s career started in the heart of London’s wholesale fashion district;
Great Portland Street, initially as a showroom model, then sales, she learnt about fabrics, styling, manufacturing, buying and merchandising.
Debra inevitably built up her own customer base, both wholesale & retail. She was then torn on which route to take, enjoying the process of finding what customers love led swiftly to a retail shop in Gants Hill, Ilford, followed by a shop in Chigwell during 1984 where they still trade to this day.
The business quickly gained a solid reputation in the entertainment industry,
supplying and styling for national TV, newspapers and glossy magazines.
Debra travels extensively on buying trips, staying one step ahead has always been
her business model. Waiting for exciting designs & fabrics to drop in her lap is
simply not an option. Debra likes to source unusual and unique garments globally
and also continues to manufacture herself.
Shining through three previous recessions and now the Brexit crisis, Debra Chigwell
has been the place to visit for decades boasting an enormous selection of daywear, eveningwear, cocktail-wear and prom dresses. Every style in stock is hand selected, designed or manufactured by Debra herself.
