18 Nov Daryl Branch Scoops Best Male Instructor Nod at National Awards
Thurrock-based fitness instructor Daryl Branch was won the Award for BEST MALE INSTRUCTOR at the inaugural National Community Fitness Awards 2016.
Daryl was nominated by an unknown person and the award was achieved through an online voting process open to the public and through a video submission with was assessed by an independent assessor from within the Fitness industry.
Talking about the award Daryl Branch said: “I’m completely overwhelmed to have won this award! I’d like to thank everyone who voted for me, everyone who comes along to my classes and the mystery person who nominated me in the first place! It’s a real honour to have been recognised for my work in the fitness industry; my own story of weight loss and finding fitness in 2012 changed my life and if I can inspire even one person to do the same I’ll be very happy!”
Teaching for almost 5 years, Daryl runs a variety of classes across the Borough and is most well-known for teaching Zumba® and Clubbercise in the community. A regular face in the community, Daryl is also the Musical Director for Thurrock Golden Voices and Artistic Director of Creative Blast, a performing arts company who create touring theatre shows, as well as delivering performing arts workshops in schools and in the community.
