09 May DAGFEST promises “creative fun” as it returns on July 7th
DAGFEST returns to the borough on July 7th.
The festival, now in its fourth year, is curated by a group of local people known as the Cultural Connectors, who are part of the Creative Barking and Dagenham programme and make decisions about the acts, entertainment, look and feel of the festival.
This years’ event promises even more fantastic, creative fun and frolics in Dagenham Village, centred around the ancient Parish Church.
The line up so far includes a specially produced theatre piece by Tangled Feet. ‘That Parking Show’ is inspired by the motoring history of the borough and uses the concept of two cars arguing over a parking space. It blends physical comedy, a pumping soundtrack and spectacular stunts, to create an absurd, turbo charged physical exploration of how conflict escalates.
