14 Jun Costa Coffee’s Great Portland Street store undergoes uplifting renovation
The Nation’s Favourite Coffee Shop, Costa Coffee*, has temporarily closed its store at 111 Great Portland Street, London, as it undergoes a transformative renovation.
The store has shut its doors to allow for a full modern uplift and is set to reopen later this month.
This flagship refurbishment will introduce a modern and heartfelt coffee experience in the heart of London. Designed to elevate every visit, the new store will blend contemporary style with the comforting familiarity customers know and love.
The redesigned space will feature a refreshed colour scheme, an inviting ambience, and versatile seating options, ideal for everything from a quick coffee break while shopping on Oxford Street to long catchups with friends, or sitting in to get work done. New features such as touchscreen ordering and an enhanced in-store atmosphere are aimed at offering greater convenience and fostering a stronger sense of community.
This transformation comes as Costa Coffee continues to invest in new ways to delight coffee lovers and support local communities. The Great Portland Street store will return better than ever, with a brighter and bolder look and feel.
Nick Ridley, Property & Store Development Director for UK&I at Costa Coffee, said: “The transformation of our Great Portland Street store is part of a significant investment in enhancing the experience we offer our customers and communities. We’re excited to be evolving this much-loved location and look forward to sharing more about the new look and features when we reopen at the end of the month.”
This renovation forms part of Costa Coffee’s broader commitment to continuously invest in its stores, team members, and customers, helping to boost the towns and high streets it proudly serves.
While renovations are underway, customers can continue to enjoy their favourite handcrafted Costa coffee at nearby stores on Tottenham Court Road and Argyll Street.
