10 May Conservative parliamentary candidate pays visit to Stansted Airport
London Stansted Airport welcomed the new Conservative parliamentary candidate for Saffron Walden, Kemi Badenoch, as she made her first official visit to the airport yesterday making the most of her Tuesday.
Mrs Badenoch made a fact-finding trip to the region’s biggest single site employer and enjoyed a behind the scenes guided tour of the airfield, control tower and its award winning Aerozone education centre. She had the opportunity to meet with young pupils from R.A. Butler Academy, who were visiting the Aerozone and learning about running a busy international airport.
Following her visit Kemi Badenoch, said:
“It was a delight to meet the team at Stansted and learn more about what the airport has to offer. The strong focus on education with the Aerozone facility and plans for an on-site college demonstrate an enduring commitment to local communities which I wholeheartedly commend. Should success come my way on June 8 I hope to maintain a good relationship with the airport in the years ahead.”
