18 Jul Come to ACL Essex’s Family Fun Day in Colchester!
ACL Colchester is hosting a Family Fun Day for residents on 25 July at the Wilson Marriage Centre, Colchester. From 10am to 1pm, a range of local community groups and services will come together to highlight the opportunities on offer.
Essex Libraries, Essex Family Forum, Co-op, Museum of Power, and the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service are just some of the companies that will be in attendance. There will also be face painting, origami, biscuit decorating and much more to keep children entertained.
ACL’s Parent Ambassadors will also be in attendance. The Parent Ambassador team engages with parents and carers in schools and communities, while developing their skills to help all. Visitors to the fun day can talk to ambassadors and find out how to sign up for the programme. ACL aims to recruit, train and offer unique personal development opportunities to parents across Essex through their Parent Ambassador Programme.
Lisa Jarentowski, ACL Essex Principal, said, “At ACL Essex we offer plenty of development opportunities for parents. At the Family Fun Day, residents get a chance to experience the Family Learning courses, volunteering opportunities and find out more about the support that’s on offer to them.
“Parents can also sign up for our Parent Ambassador programme to support other parents in the community. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to ACL Colchester on 25 July to see what we have on offer.”
ACL Essex’s Colchester Family Fun Day will take place on 25 July 2023 at ACL Essex Colchester, Wilson Marriage, Barrack Street, Colchester CO1 2LR. Other exhibitors include Community 360, Next Chapter, Relax Kids and Kip McGrath.
