13 Nov Colchester charities join forces to support local families this winter
Be a little helper this Christmas by donating presents to Colchester’s less fortunate children.
Local homelessness charity, Emmaus Colchester, is appealing for Christmas present donations suitable for children aged 0-16 this winter for their #ProjectChristmas.
From teddy bears, to toiletries, board games to stationery, donors are kindly asked to bring along brand new, unwrapped presents to the Emmaus office (175 Magdalen Street) by Friday 15 December.
Presents will be wrapped and distributed by Emmaus Colchester staff shortly after this date.
People who collect donations from Colchester Foodbank will be given a voucher to take to Emmaus Colchester, where they will be able to collect a Christmas present for their family.
Last December Colchester Foodbank saw 310 children, and demand is rising this year. Emmaus Colchester is hoping to donate over 300 children presents this Christmas.
