18 Apr Colchester Castle Park’s iconic Victorian bandstand to host free concerts
A great programme of free concerts is once again taking place at Colchester Castle Park’s iconic Victorian bandstand, between April and September this year, with the first concert being performed by Colchester Pipes and Drums on Sunday 14 April.
Every year, Colchester Borough Council offers a varied musical programme at the bandstand in Upper Castle Park. This year’s concerts take place at weekends from April to September and includes performances from 17 bands including swing, contemporary and brass.
All this year’s concerts will take place from 3-5pm, except for the Essex Concert Band on 23 June, which will start at 3.30pm.
All concerts are free to attend, and visitors are encouraged to bring chairs and a picnic.
