29 Jun Colchester-based digital marketing agency, Climbing Trees, celebrates award-winning streak
A Colchester-based digital marketing agency has collected several awards for its successful collaboration with Greenpeace UK. Climbing Trees digital marketing agency cares as much about the planet as it does its marketing campaigns, making it the perfect partner for Greenpeace UK.
The agency worked with Greenpeace UK to utilise its Google Ad Grants to make sure they were working hard for the charity. Not only has the campaign delivered in terms of getting more people talking about and donating to the environmental charity, but it has also landed the Climbing Trees team a number of prestigious award nominations and prizes.
Climbing Trees was proud to be announced the winner of two categories of the 2022 UK Search Awards including the award for “Best Use of Search”. The team was thrilled to be nominated and overjoyed that the dedication, expertise, and talent they provide was recognised by the prestigious award. The intensive effort not only enhances the exposure of the agency’s clients but also bridges the gap between charitable and third-sector organisations like Greenpeace and their intended audiences.
Climbing Trees was also a finalist in the Digital Growth Awards PPC Campaign of the Year 2022 (B2C) Category. This achievement highlights the innovative work the team did to capitalise on Greenpeace’s activist activity as well as harnessing the power of Dynamic Search Ads to target the words people were searching for to overcome the Google Ad Grants limitation relating to single-word keywords.
It was the human component of the campaign that enabled Climbing Trees to achieve amazing results for Greenpeace. The team blended industry tech with a passion to transform. New content was quickly built into manual text-based campaigns that were in line with what people were typing into search engines.
“It’s not every day that one of the most eminent environmental charities in the UK teams up with an independent agency from Essex. But from the start, it was a match made in heaven. Just like Greenpeace, Climbing Trees is driven by hope and optimism and a desire to have a positive impact on the world. We believe this alignment is what motivated us to produce such exceptional results which in turn led to our achievements being recognised.” Will Bravin, Account Manager, Climbing Trees.
The award success continued with the Greenpeace campaign winning Silver in the Agency Awards 2022 in the “Best of PPC” category. Climbing Trees entered the award to praise its brilliant team’s hard work and dedication. Winning Silver was the icing on the cake and well-deserved recognition of the way the team worked with integrity to get brilliant results for the charity.
Climbing Trees’ ethos is to create a positive impact for their clients and the planet. Creating brilliant results for Greenpeace and having that work acknowledged by the industry shows they’re on the right track.
Alex Holliman, Founder and Managing Director of Climbing Trees sums up the impact the campaign has had: “Working with Greenpeace UK has been a dream from the beginning. From creating a huge impact for one of the biggest environmental charities and advancing a cause so close to our hearts, to having the work recognised by winning a prestigious industry award.
Everything we do as an agency is set up to ensure we leave the world in a better place than we found it.”
Mal Chadwick, Greenpeace UK’s Website Manager, praised the team and their dedication that created such a successful campaign:
“The team at Climbing Trees helped us to build meaningful relationships with the people we want to talk to about our causes. They grasped the opportunity to do something new with our Google Ad Grants funding by working closely with our team and reacting to what was happening in our world quickly, creating text-based campaigns that matched what people were searching for.
“Greenpeace UK has seen its website visits that convert into one-off donations grow as a direct result of the collaboration with Climbing Trees. This helps us to continue to build our narrative and make the world a better place for us all to live in.”
