25 Jun Colchester based business Pegasus IT celebrate 10th birthday
This year, Colchester based business, Pegasus IT, is celebrating its 10th birthday. The IT solutions company has spent the past decade providing a range of services to businesses across Colchester and surrounding Essex areas. Experts in IT consultancy and business IT support, Pegasus IT can assist with network security, backups, server upgrades, print services, domain hosting and even website design.
Established by business partners David Harrison and Lorna Sharp, who have 30 years of combined experience in the industry, the business is excited to celebrate its 10th anniversary. With a technical military background, David and Lorna made the decision to move to Colchester after leaving the army. They started working with IT consultancies and services companies, eventually deciding to set up their own company, Pegasus IT, in 2009.
Pegasus IT has worked to support a variety of clients over the years, including Bespoke Kitchens retailer Davonport, Essex-based Quest motors, and disability support charity Acorn Villages.
The Pegasus IT team will be celebrating its 10th birthday at a local escape room, alongside some of its longest standing clients.
Tony Sage at Acorn Villages, says: “Pegasus IT has played an integral part in our IT service. As a charity, it’s vital that our IT system is running efficiently at all times and that all data remains confidential. Pegasus IT has been heavily involved in the project planning and installation for upgrading our servers as well as working as an extension to our team when our in-house IT manager has been out of the office. This support has been invaluable.”
Christine Jacobs at Euroline, adds: “Pegasus IT has supported us since it was founded 10 years ago. During this time, we have grown significantly and the IT support has played an important role in this growth. Pegasus IT is an expert in the field and knows exactly how to develop the services that we require. We look forward to continue working with the team in the future across the next decade!”
Michelle Rider at Hatfield Place, also comments: “We had a recent wedding at our venue and the card machine decided not to connect to the Wi-Fi. This was a major disruption as everyone wanted to pay by card or contactless. Having been on the phone to the card payment provider numerous times to try and sort the problem out, nothing was working. I then decided to give one of the Pegasus Engineers a call hoping they would answer with it being a Saturday evening. I have to say the engineer was absolutely brilliant and sorted out the problem within 10 minutes. This type of service is invaluable to us and I am so pleased we chose Pegasus IT to look after our IT, as they really did save the day.”
David Harrison, Co-Founder of Pegasus IT comments on the excitement surrounding the 10th anniversary: “We are really excited, and proud, to be celebrating our 10th anniversary. It has been wonderful to work with such a diverse range of clients on a variety of projects. We are thankful to both our brilliant team as well as our fantastic clients and look forward to continuing to grow and provide our services across Essex.”
