02 Jul Clacton Closed Table Tennis Championships gains top Sponsor
The Clacton Closed Table Tennis Championships attracts over 70 players a year with competitors aged between 10 and 80. The event, which has been billed as ‘one of the biggest sporting events in Clacton’, has secured a top sponsor to ensure the championships can go ahead in 2020.
Leading employee research consultancy, The Survey Initiative, which are based in Wix, near Manningtree are sponsoring next year’s event and Peter White, Chairman, Clacton and District Table Tennis League, is delighted. He says: “We’re reliant upon the support of businesses in the community to run our annual championship and we’re very pleased that The Survey Initiative has decided to sponsor the 2020 event.”
The Clacton Closed Table Tennis Championships will take place in April next year and will see league members competing for a series of singles, doubles, juniors and veterans’ titles. The league includes players from clubs in Clacton, Walton and Lawford.

Clubs in the region offer coaching for juniors, come and try sessions for adults and run a series of league championships.
