Chigwell Stagecoach Students Race to Fight Cancer!

Stagecoach Performing Arts Chigwell prides itself on encouraging its young performers to build confidence and compassion, both extremely valuable traits that carry you through life off the stage. This weekend, those values shone brighter than ever before as four incredible Stagecoach students and one resolute mum came together to make a difference.

On Sunday 26 July 2026, Alicia, Altaya, Victoria and Adriana known as the Stagecoach Chigwell Girls took on the Race for Life 5K in London’s Hyde Park, raising vital funds for Cancer Research UK.

Indeed, the girls are used to performing in front of audiences, however this challenge is about something far grander than cheer and applause. As a team, they are running in support of a cause that has sadly touched countless families and like so many others, they have witnessed the impact cancer can have, bringing uncertainty, heartbreak and immense challenges to those who have it and their families. Their decision to take part is a very touching reminder that small acts of kindness really do go a long way.

Their efforts inspired incredible generosity and together they have raised an incredible £1,458 plus an additional £304.50 in Gift Aid, helping to fund life-saving research and bring hope to families facing cancer.

Stagecoach Chigwell nurtures bravery and emotion in each and every one of their students. This fundraising challenge is a true testament towards such values, demonstrating that the lessons learned at Stagecoach are so much more than singing, dancing and drama. Rather, there is also priority in nurturing young people who use their talents and determination to make a positive impact on their community.

With a network of over 60,000 students and more than 3,000 extra-curricular Performing Arts Schools worldwide, Stagecoach aims to make a difference in its students’ lives by teaching Creative Courage for Life and many children have gone on to study and work in Performing Arts from blockbuster films to countless roles in local theatre productions.

The Stagecoach Chigwell family could not be prouder of Alicia, Altaya, Victoria and Adriana for embracing this challenge with such passion and determination! Their commitment is an inspiration not just to fellow students and parents but to everyone.
