09 Oct Chelmsford Picture House to celebrate Dr Who’s latest chapter in style
Dr. Who opened a new chapter in its long history last weekend and Chelmsford Picture House will be celebrating the much-loved Doctor and the Doctor’s greatest enemy, the Daleks, with a chance to win a remote-control Dalek!
Anyone who buys a ticket for the screening of ‘Dr Who and The Daleks’ (U), which will be screened during the half term school holiday at 2:30pm on Thursday 25 October, and comes along dressed as their favourite Dr. Who character, will have a chance to win a remote-control model Dalek.
Dr Who and The Daleks’ (U) was originally released in 1965 and was the first celluloid outing for the Doctor, played by the classic British actor Peter Cushing. The film was shot in glorious technicolour and in widescreen format, so the Daleks are bigger, brighter and much scarier than on the small screen! Inventive British science fiction at its best and rarely screened in cinemas these days. This is not to be missed and it is a great excuse to dress up!
