Chelmsford City FC has a new sponsor for the 2022/23 season, as award-winning insurance broker, Ascend Broking, becomes the new ‘name on the shirt’ and goes in search of more trophies.
Ascend Broking, which has offices at the Chelmsford Business Park, has been involved with its local football club for a number of years at a Platinum Partner level, having various banners around the ground on matchdays. This season, it has taken that one step further, wishing to help drive the ambitions of the club and help it to deliver significant benefits to the local community.
Signing up as the official sponsor of the Vanarama National League club, was a sensible move for a brokerage that has always been heavily involved in supporting grassroots local causes.
Ascend Broking has become known for its commitment to local charities, having supported a good number since its foundation, the most recent being the Kids Alive charity. Its employees are encouraged to get involved in the local community and fundraise for local charities as much as possible, so as to give back to the community that has helped the brokerage achieve stellar growth and scoop very many awards in the insurance sector.
Ascend Broking recognises the football club is at the heart of life in the Chelmsford community and wants to embrace all the community involvement opportunities that its sponsorship can provide.
Through working closely with Chelmsford City, the brokerage aims to ensure that the Chelmsford community reaps the unique benefits that can be derived from a passion for football, whether that is social inclusion, fostering better fitness in the community or developing young footballing talent in schools.
