07 Aug Chelmsford hits lucky 13th in National Lottery lucky postcodes
It has been revealed today that the Chelmsford (CM) postcode is officially one of the luckiest in the country.
CM now ranks lucky 13th in the country for lottery millionaires, with a whopping 64 millionaires, or multimillionaires, created in the Essex postcode since the launch of The National Lottery.
In addition, the CM postcode is now in 19th position for big prize winners since 2012, with 82 ticketholders sporting a Chelmsford postcode banking a top tier prize of at least £50,000. In all since the launch of The National Lottery in 1994, 421 top tier prizes have been won in CM.
Local winners who shared news of their win recently included a grandmother from Chelmsford, Lynne Groves, who scooped the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker last year. Less than six months later, charity worker Jacqui Shannon from Witham celebrated her own millionaire status winning on exactly the same game.
